ABOUT US
We are Coyote Creative Coalition, founded by Leo and Tessa Sharp.
Our Story:
In 2024 we were hit by Hurricane Helene, here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. On our long journey in recovery and rebuilding we've had minimal assistance from government disaster relief. With the help of dedicated neighbors, volunteers, buckets of blood sweat and tears- we've made progress, but we still have a long road ahead. Our repair estimates to recover from the damage totaled over $120,000. Navigating this new path of life we've turned to nurturing our creativity, both to soothe our souls and problem solve big problems on a shoestring budget. For both of us art allows us to reflect, for Leo it's therapeutic. Being a disabled veteran it's been an outlet to process the things we cannot change, the things we may have lost but still hold near. Which lead us to creating Coyote Creative Coalition. Creating art thats intentional, scrappy, and restorative.
By supporting our art you're playing a part in helping our recovery so that we can continue to pay it forward.
